The Living Alley Project

 

 

 

 

Volunteers play a vital role in this movement.

 

These are the areas in which a volunteer can help

 

 

Assessment

• Door knocking efforts

  • Conduct 5 minute surveys with target residents

  • Share information about the project with residents of target block

• Neighborhood Assessment

  • Taking pictures of the neighborhood and the alleys

  • Research existing trash, recycling and greening efforts for the target neighborhood and block

 

 

Educate

• Engage with community association and other major stakeholders

• Connect with organization and the city to organize trash and recycling workshop

• Help design educational materials

 

 

Beautify

• Organize community brainstorming session and visioning of alley

• Connect with city artists

• Participate in alley cleanup efforts
